ifsum is a very good tool to use in Excel however if I use it overmany hundreds of cells it slows the PC calculatuions to stop. HAs anyone else had this problem, if so is there a solution?

Peter,
If you mean that the time taken after entering data is excesive then you can either set the worksheet calculation to Manual: Tools Options Calculation Manual or consider using a pivot table to do the summing. Care to post the formula(s) which degrades the performance?
