One way:
Type 1.03 in any unused cell. Copy that cell, select all the values you want to increase by 3%. Then EditPasteSpecialMultiply. Hope this helps Rowan "hornet" wrote: I want to increase last year's departmental expenditure (in excel spreadsheet) by 3% to present a proposed budget for next year. Format an empty cell exactly as the cells that you wish to increase ($,
decimals, whatever). Enter 1.03 into this cell. Right click and choose "Copy". Select all the cells that you wish to increase, and right click in that selection. Click on "Paste Special", Click "Multiply", then <OK, then <Esc. -- HTH, RD --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please keep all correspondence within the NewsGroup, so all may benefit ! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "hornet" wrote in message ...
