I'm having trouble seeing lines I've drawn in Excel 2003. The lines I draw
print out fine, they just "disappear" after they are created. Is there a setting I can change to make the lines visible? I've already tried making the width larger, and setting the color explicitly to black. Those things have not helped. |

BobT,
This may or may not help, but I had a similar problem with the auditing trace lines within Excel (run a search for 'trace' witin excel group messages - message subject is along the lines of 'Trace Precedent and Dependent Lines are Invisible'). Anyway, this is what I've discovered: ....the source of my problem: I was using a COM Add-In that seems to have affected the ability of the autoshape lines to stay on-screen. Once I disabled the COM Add-In from loading at start-up, the behaviour of autoshape lines (and the auditing trace lines) returned to normal. (Just to add to the complexity of this issue, I can still actually use the Add-In as long as I add it in/ enable it manually AFTER excel has loaded (i.e. it will cause the problem if it's left to load automatically at start-up). So, perhaps it's worth checking if you have any COM Add-In's... "BobT" wrote: I'm having trouble seeing lines I've drawn in Excel 2003. Thanks. I found out what the problem was a few weeks ago. My graphics
drivers needed to be updated on the laptop. Once they were updated, there were no problems.
