Default How to make excel not to compute formula

Hi,
I have a workbook filled with formulas and it takes time to compute
formula and open the workbook.

Is there a way I can stop the computation of formula when the workbook
is opened?
Is there a way to start the computation of formulas?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Anoop

Try the menu choices Tools | Options | Calculation . There are several
options there for controlling recalculation of the worksheet.

Hi Anoop

Try Tools Options calculation Tab, switch calculation from
Automatic to Manual, to calculate when ready you can use the F9 key

After you set your calculation mode to "Manual",
You can calculate you sheets separately, one at a time, by using
<Shift <F9
Which will *only* calculate the sheet that's selected.
