Default Excel Worksheet crashes when changes are made.

We have 3.5mb spreadsheet. When changes are made it crashes, losing all
formatting and formulas.

Is there anyway to recover this document without out losing all of the work
(about 1 week).

Sounds like there is something wrong with your file. How many pages (tabs)
does it have? Try copying all the info from the sheet into a new file and
re-naming it.
