Default How do I change the number on copy sheet so I don't have to renam

In Excel -- When I use the copy sheet feature in this particular workbook,
instead of increments of one, the new name comes up as the old sheet numb (2)
or the old sheet number (3). I have to rename every sheet. How can I change
the sequence so I get numbers 1, 2, 3, etc.
