Microsoft Excel 2000 Subtotals with Group Name
I do a number of reports with Microsoft Excel 2000 and subtotals.
At the top of each page, there are the "boxes", "2" gives you the subtotal view, and "3" gives you all the data. I run the subtotal on "department number", so the "2" page looks something like this: 10 Total 200 20 Total 480 30 Total 900 Grand Total 1580 I want to bring down the group name in column b, so the "2" page looks like this: 10 Total bikes 200 20 Total clothes 480 30 Total food 900 Grand Total 1580 I have been copying and pasting the group name manually for each group. This example has only three groups, but mine has many more, making it a tedious process. Is there a way to get the subtotals to do this automatically? Maybe someone has some visual basic code that does this? Thank you in advance for your help. |
