formula bar

I'm calculating lots of percentages. I enter the numerator and the
demoninator and multiply that by 100. When I return to that cell, it shows
the division results *100. This means I can't check to make sure I entered
the right numbers. How can I get it to leave the formula as entered in the
formula bar?

Peter,

This is simple. Please use one column for entering Numerators, second column
for Denominators and arrive at the % in the third column.

Thanks,

Manish Bajpai

Ragdyer

How are you making your entries?

For me, these are an *invariable* display in the formula bar:

=1/2*100
=3/8*100
=15/16*100

Am I missing something?
