lookup reference
I have column a and b. column a has numbers, hours; column b has a string of
text. cell c11(s/d) or c12 (hours) need the hours totalled up for s/d. Can i search the columns from b using the first letter of the text (s) for search and get the number value from a 1.5. column a: column b: (text string usually starting with s/d or r/d 1.5 s/d run from 1 to xx ..7 r/d run from xx to xx 2 s/d run from xx to xx 3 s/d run from xx to xx 4 r/d from xx to xx 3 other i am working column a as 24 hours in a day. I need to total the s/d and the r/d's. i would like to total all in one lookup. If not can i build a table hide it to pick up the numbers. |
