Field Source Error for Pivot Table
I'm trying to create a Pivot Table with 2 data ranges to check redundancies
in my data. One data range is 51600 rows and the other is @ 62250 rows long. When I try to create the Pivot Table, the system simply just tells me that it cannot create the table due to a field in the source data has more uniques items that can be used in a Pivot Table. NEED HELP! I'm not sure what this error means since it doesn't clearly point out to me where the problem manifests. IF someone could let me know if there's another formula I can use, I'd greatly appreciate it! |
The following MSKB articles outline PivotTable limitations for different
versions of Excel: Limits of PivotTables in Excel http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?id=211517 Description of the limits of PivotTable reports in Excel http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?id=820742 Instead of a pivot table to compare the lists, perhaps you could use one of the techniques that Chip Pearson describes he http://www.cpearson.com/excel/duplicat.htm dmotika wrote: JM wrote: I'm trying to create a Pivot Table with 2 data ranges to check redundancies in my data.
