![]() I have a spreadsheet containing several sheets and I'm looking for some help with hyperlinks and filtering the data. Basically I have an overview sheet with a summary of data, then another sheet with lots more detailed information. In the overview sheet there are peoples names, so what I'm trying to do is have a hyperlink active so when people click a persons name they are taken to the more detailed sheet. I've set the hyperlinks up already but now I'm trying to get it a bit more advanced and to only display information of the person that has been clicked on the overview sheet. I'm guessing I need to use a filter to only display this one persons name and details, but have no idea how to set the filter condition to the name that was clicked on the overview page. Can anyone help me with this, do I need a macro or is there another way to do it? -- chrishop6 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ chrishop6's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=24952 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=384848 |

Now imagine the dropdown contains the person's name instead, and you just use a bunch of vlookups to get the data for that one person to fill in from a worksheet. Here's how to do the dropdown: http://www.officearticles.com/excel/...soft_excel.htm Here's how to do the Vlookup: http://www.officearticles.com/excel/...soft_excel.htm ******************* ~Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com www.MyExpertsOnline.com "chrishop6" wrote in message ...
