When preparing a hyperlink report (a report that uses hyperlinks to connect
to various other reports within Excel) so that there is only one place a mgr
can go to find numerous reports, I found that it works EXCEPT when someone is
using one of the reports being hyperlinked to. When that occurs, a message
comes up that "John Smith is using the file..." and an option to CANCEL or
READ ONLY...if you choose either option, EXCEL LOCKS UP and the hour glass
stays running...at which point I have needed to totally exit out of EXCEL in
order to use the program again. Any ways around this? Thanks.
