Default what is the excel equivalent to lotus backsolve

I wish to convert my Lotus 1.2.3 worksheets to Excel.
I have Excel 2000 Professional.
I have one conversion difficulty, as follows:
Lotus 123's "Backsolve" allows one to specify three range names as parameters.
Excel's "Goal seek"ing seems to require a numeric constant in the second
parameter.
