Default show what % bottom # is of top # in excel

I have collumns of numbers. The bottom number is profit. The second from
bottom is cost. I would like to be able to show the percent of profit over
cost in the cell below. profit/costX100. How do I do that?

You simply enter the formula. If, for example, your profit is in a12 and cost in
a11, enter
=a12/a11*100 in a13.

A better alternative is to use the formula =a12/a11 and format the cell as a
percentage.
