Default concatenating "00"&"00"&"01" without losing the zero values

Hello!
I need to combine a series of cells containing numerical zeros, but keep
losing the zero places. For example, I need 00 01 00 01 to combine into one
cell as 00010001. When I try the concatenate function I lose the zero and end
up with 0101. I have formatted all the cells, but this doesn't seem to help.
Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Desperately trying to finish analysis and ....thesis.
