Pre-format all the cells as TEXT, then the CONCATENATE formula will work

concatenating "00"&"00"&"01" without losing the zero values
Hello!
I need to combine a series of cells containing numerical zeros, but keep losing the zero places. For example, I need 00 01 00 01 to combine into one cell as 00010001. When I try the concatenate function I lose the zero and end up with 0101. I have formatted all the cells, but this doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions? Thanks! You can format each segment, e.g.:
=TEXT(A1,"00")&TEXT(B1,"00")&TEXT(C1,"00")&TEXT(D1 ,"00") kier wrote: Hello! I need to combine a series of cells containing numerical zeros, but keep losing the zero places. One more way:
=TEXT(A1*10^6 + B1*10^4 + C1*10^2 +D1,"00000000") kier wrote: Hello! I need to combine a series of cells containing numerical zeros, but keep losing the zero places.
