Did you try looking in Help under "gridlines"?

On the worksheet when viewed?

ToolsOptionsView. Check Gridlines

When printed?

FilePage SetupSheet. Check Gridlines

If gridlines do not show up, perhaps the cells have been formatted to White
color.

Any shading will wipe out gridlines.

Default is "No Color"
