That depends upon what you want to do (you need to be more specific). For example if cells G 5 to G 8 inclusive are filled with text then:- =COUNTA(G5:G8) in cell G 9 returns the number 4. If my comments have helped please hit Yes. "Gary" wrote: can you make a sum a text insted of a number |
