I have created some workbooks that are linked together.
My budget workbook is linked to four workbooks, Quarter 1 thru 4. I have
been playing around with it and I don't know what happened but when the
budget workbook is open it shows numbers in the cells that are linked to the
Quarter workbooks, problem is that there are no totals in those cells. When
I open up the Quarter workbook the numbers go to zero in the Budget Workbook
like they are suppose to. Any ideas?

Hi Bob,

There are a number of reasons why this could occur. Enter 'update links' in
help and you will find something like 'Control when external references
(links) are updated'. or 'Control when links are updated' depending on the
version of xl you are using.

Read through it and it is highly likely you will find what you need to change.
