Excel Sorting
I did not create the worksheet, but need to sort the data. Get a message
saying " This operation requires the merged cells to be identically sized" An excell newby, and help doesn't help. Help?? |

Excel Sorting
Get rid of the merged cells which cause no end of problems.......one of
which you just encountered. 2003...........FormatCellsAlignmentUncheck "merge cells" 2007...........HomeFormatFormat cellsAlignment. Excel Sorting
Your headings probably have merged cells.
You can either... - take the merge off the cells (FORMAT CELLS ALIGNMENT click off the 'Merge Cells' checkbox) or - do your sort without the headings rows (DATA SORT click on 'No Header Row'). -- Hope this helps.
