Default Sorting Alphabetically

I would like to sort a column alphabetically and make sure that the info in
the other columns stay with the sorted column. I realize that I must select
all of the columns, but how do I indicated which column is to be sorted after
all columns are selected?
Advice appreciated!

Click on Data, then on Sort. Choose the column to sort by in the
dialogue that pops up.

Further explained with pictures in the first link that is returned if
you make a Google search on
excel data sort

Hope this helps / Lars-Åke

There's a drop down box for that. The specifics depend on which version of
Excel you have. In 2007, DataSortSort byColumn A

Hi,

Here are two other ways that don't require the Sort dialog box:

1. If your data is well organized with one row of titles just select a
single cell in the column you want to sort on and click the Ascending or
Descending sort buttons. You don't necessarily need to select all the data
before sorting, if the data is set up correctly.
2. Select all the data and then press the Tab key until the active cell is
in the column you want to sort on then click the Ascending or Descending sort
buttons.

If this helps, please click the Yes button.
