Default Is it possible to count the no. of characters in a cell in Excel?

In order to create Tweets in Excel, I wanted to know if you could count the
characters/spaces in a cell.

Hi,

To count characters excluding spaces
=LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1," ",""))

to count spaces
=LEN(A1)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1," ",""))

When competing hypotheses are otherwise equal, adopt the hypothesis that
introduces the fewest assumptions while still sufficiently answering the
question.
