Is there a way lock worksheet formatting? Excel 2002 workbook, i use spreadsheet to prepare invoices, new ones based on previous spreadsheet.
I need prevent from invoice from changing (lock cells, i.e. keep formatting without changes), but worker still need be able fill the data into cells, then save invoice. |

Sure you can Tandex!
First you must Unprotect all of the cells that you want people to fill in then you must protect the entire worksheet once you are done. You can unprotect each cell by right clicking / format cells / Protection tab and deselect the locked check box. If they even try to enter data anywhere except the unprotected spaces, they will get a big fat "Locked" Message. It's great! Let me know how it works out.
