Default Nesting if functions

I have a spreadsheet which was in Excel 97 (I think) but I now have
Excel 2007 on my laptop.

I need to nest lots of if functions (more than 6). So I saved it into
Excel 2007 format as it was coming up with an error. However, its
still saying that I am trying to nest too many functions. I am trying
to add the seventh.

Can someone please help - as am a bit confused and not really used to
Excel 2007 yet.

Thanks in advance.
