Default Automatically shifting data, part II

I have only found one question/response that comes close to what I'm looking
for, at least without having to slog through a macro.

The spreadsheet in question contains member counts, both original and
adjusted numbers as well as the current month numbers, and example is below.
The cells in the top row contain Month/Year dates, that as the date for the
current month is udpated the rest 'shift' udpate to reflect the prior month.
I need something similar to that with the member numbers, but they need to
have the top row,(row 2) to follow this pattern, over one down one, (row 3)
so the adjusted numbers are the new original, so that if the prior month has
adjusted figures the are counted correctly. The sheet tracks five months plus
the current. Any thoughts?

A B C D
1 Apr-05 Mar-05 Feb-05 Jan-05
2 9,083 8,809 8,632 8,432
3 8,601 8,431 8,229
208 201 203

If it can be done when I create a new worksheet for May-05 and updated the
cell that Apr-05 currently resides the information in B2 move to C3, C2 to
D3, etc.

Thank you
