Default MID function results

=MID(A1,6,4) - i get the answer 5678
Does your formula in the spreadsheet have anything else contaoied within it.

You may also want to check manual and automatic calculation settings

Thanks

The results of a MID function is the formula, not the requested text.
For example
Col A1 = 1234.5678
Col B1 displays "=MID(A1,6,4)", not "5678"
I have tried several cell formats but cannot get it to display properly.
Thanks
