How do I make a sound as a result of an "if" statement in excel
I wish to alert a data inputer if the answer of a calculation falls outside a
certain range, eg300 <20. The data inputer does not touch type. I hore that I could use an "if" statemnt to achieve the required result. |

A formula can't create a sound. You could use programming to create a
sound if the cell value is outside a specified range when the sheet calculates. Or, you could use conditional formatting to colour the cell if its value is outside the specified range. There are instructions in Excel's Help, and he http://www.contextures.com/xlCondFormat01.html george wrote: I wish to alert a data inputer if the answer of a calculation falls outside a certain range, eg300 <20.
