I have two wok book. in one there are a lot of nos like
book no1 321127 92117-0002 in other book2 321127-00 0092117-02 how can we use vlook up |

If book2 is array Sheet2!A1:A100 try the below formula ..

Hi,
You can use a wildcard =VLOOKUP("*"&A2&"*",[Book2]Sheet1!$A$1:$B$20,2,FALSE) so if A2 contains 321127 it will find 321127-00 in book 2.
