Default How can I fit an accurate trendline and formulae

I am attempting to model some data and the trendline formula is not close
enought to the shape of the curve I have. How can I improve this? Are there
other software that can be used to graph a given dataset?

I assume that you have graphed your data, added a trendline and experimented
with all the different formats that are available. I find that some of them
follow the data line too closely (i.e., moving average with a small number
of periods).

That said, you could add a column and fill it in with whatever formula you
feel would best describe the trend of your data and then graph that as a
separate series.
