Default subtotaling and manipulating a list of data

One other thing. There are multiple entity numbers in the list (123456 will
change to a new entity number) and the account numbers will repeat for each
entity. That is there will be an account 0100-0210 Purchase with an Asset
Value and and Accum Depr number for each entity. I need to subtotal each
account number within each entity and then move those subtotals to a new list
(or alternatively, delete the detail data out of this list) in order to
compare it to the list from the other system.

Thanks for your help.

I have a list of data that I need to subtotal Asset value and Accum dept each

into a new list that I can compare to data from another system. That is the
data from the other system is already totaled by acct # within each entity.
The data from these two systems is supposed to be equal - I am searching for
differences so I can get them corrected. I want to combine the two lists and
then use conditional formatting to flag the non matching data.

I have tried the subtotal function, but I need the entity number and acct #
to appear in the subtotal line that needs to go to the list I compare to the
other system's data.

Any ideas?
