Default Excel Maximum viewable numbers in a cell

A cell doesn't seem to show more than 16 numers it turns the last 3, in my
case, to zeros. ie 8944456845364785123 is shown as 8944456845364785000. Not
a big user of Excel, hense this, i assume a simple solution.
