Default Test whether formula in cell is an expression or a number/text

Excel 2000

Is there a test criterion for use in conditional formatting of a cell
that tests simply whether the formula in the cell in question is 1) a
number or text (i.e., is "hard coded"), or 2) is an expression (which
evaluates data and produces a result?

TIA
