Default I have 2 columns in Excel "yes" and "no" can I add them up?

I replaced the yes with a 1 and the no's with a 2. Is it possible to keep the
yes and no's and add up the columnx?

What do you want to add up? Do you want to get the number of "Yes" and the
number of "No"? If so, look in Help for CountIf. HTH Otto

Hi,

=COUNTIF(A1:A100,"Yes")+COUNTIF(A1:A100,"No")*2

If this helps, please click the Yes button.
