What code can I use to attach to a button whereby the user can input how
many rows and which row to add them from ?

Thanks

By "add" do you mean "insert" new rows?

Sub insert_some_rows()
Dim numrows As Long
Dim where As Long
numrows = InputBox("how many rows")
where = InputBox("starting at which row")
Rows(where).Resize(numrows).EntireRow.Insert
'If you want the rows inserted below "where"
'Rows(where + 1).Resize(numrows).EntireRow.Insert
End Sub
