If Function returning 0 instead of cell value
I have entered this statement =SUM(IF(DataEntry!$O38=$A$1,DataEntry!F38)). I
know that it is correct as it is returning the correct infromation. the problem is that it is returning a 0 for anything with text in it but will return the correct inforamtion for date or $100. i.e. if F38 is hello friends it returns 0 but if F38 is $100 it returns $100 please tell me how i can get the text to show up. thank you. |

You don't need/want the SUM function.

torana_girl77,
You can't SUM text...you can only SUM values...ie. numbers, dates/times, dollar amounts, etc. T. Valko's response is correct. By the looks of your formula, there should be no need for the SUM() function. HTH, Conan Kelly "torana_girl77" wrote in message ...
