Is there any way a macro can be assigned to a new button on the toolbar?

I have created a custom tool bar but it is only available on the one
workbook. Is there any way i can make it available to every new excel
workbook?

Yes you can. You need to create a Add-In (.xla) which populates a button or a
menu.
