Default Cell has pop up box when selected. how do i edit that box?

It sounds like it could be Data|Validation (in xl2003 menus)

It's on the Data tab of the ribbon inside the Data Tools group in xl2007.

If you're struggling with the location of features in xl2007...

Years ago, when I created my spreadsheet with Excel 2003, I added a feature
that I now cannot remember how to delete, access, or edit. I now have Excel
2007. It's a text box that appears when I click on a certain cell. It's not
a comment, but the box looks like one. There are no triangles in the cell,
so it's not a comment. What is it, and how do I edit or delete it?
