I am operating a huge Excel workbook with lots of internal links and lots of
formatting. But now I am getting error messages that say wtte " too many
different formats" and now it won't let me format much. It hasn't completely
shut down my formatting abilities but it has limited them severely. I have no
external links to this workbook. What can I do to re-attain my ability to
format stuff? I cannot take a whole lot more worksheets out of the workbook.
It has to be fixed I am running out of work arounds and it is getting hard to
deal with now.

There may not be a workaround other than delete some formats because Excel
has limits for these and many other things. Have a look here
