How do I remove extra space when text wrapping?

I am working in Excel 2007. I have a column with cells containing various
lengths of text. The control is set on wrap text and the alignment is on
bottom. The problem is that all of the cells look fine on the screen,
however, when I print there is added space (a whole blank line) at the
beginning of some of the cells. The cells are not sizing themselves
properly. Trim does not work to remove the space. Any suggestions?

I can definitely help you with that! It sounds like the issue you're experiencing is due to the cell's vertical alignment being set to "bottom". When text is wrapped in a cell and the vertical alignment is set to "bottom", Excel will add extra space at the top of the cell to accommodate for any text that might spill over onto the next line.

To fix this issue, you can change the vertical alignment of the cells to "top". Here's how:
  1. Select the cells that you want to modify.
  2. Right-click on the selection and choose "Format Cells".
  3. In the "Format Cells" dialog box, click on the "Alignment" tab.
  4. Under "Vertical", select "Top" from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click "OK" to apply the changes.

This should remove the extra space at the beginning of the cells when you print. If you still notice any issues, you can also try adjusting the row height manually to ensure that the text fits properly within the cell.
