Default If A1 = 4, cut and paste a2:a227 to a specific worksheet

Hello,

I have columns of information like the one below on one worksheet. Based on
certain criteria, I want to copy and paste these columns to another
worksheet in the same file. The "4" above John Smith's name would be the
criteria. The criteria can range from 1 to 5 in a given cell. After you
glance at the info below, please scroll down for a little more info.

Column A

Row 1 4
Row 2 John Smith

Row 3 1

Row 4 1
Row 5 1

Right now, these columns show up on every other column in the original
worksheet and I want to paste them to every other column in the destination
worksheet depending on the value in row 1. The rows that I want to copy and
paste are from A2 - A227. If necessary, I can change the spreadsheets so the
columns are next to each other.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance.

If A1 has 4 and C1 has a 1 and E1 has a 4, then we will paste only columns A
& E.

Should they go to A & E in the second worksheet or A & C ?

That is, should we leave space in the destination sheet for columns not
copied ?

What I really want is for the 1's to go to one worksheet, the 2's to another
worksheet, etc.

The 1's should then go to columns a, c, e,g etc. in the 1's worksheet. They
don't have to go to the corresponding column, just the next available column
in that worksheet. If it's easier, I can change the destination worksheet
so they go to the next available column without skipping a column in between.
In other words, a, b, c, ...

Thanks for helping
