Default Excel Formula Help

Need help with a formula that will Count down the number of days before a
contract will expire. When the date is Expired, I need it to say "EXPIRED",
and highlight the cell. Can anyone help me with this?

And for the highlight, use conditional formatting...Cell value is equal to
"Expired"...and set the desired format for the highlight.

I am interested in this post. Is the conditional formatting in Excel 2007 the
same?

Basically, although you do have more conditions available.

You have this in a cell

=IF(TODAY()A1,"Expired",A1-TODAY())

Select that cell and on Ribbon select Conditional FormattingHighlight Cell
RulesEqual to "Expired"..........no quotes.

Pick a format and Apply then OK

Thank you so much for this. Such a HUGE help. One more question. With this
formula, if there is not a date entered it still Shows up EXPIRED. Is there a
way to add to this formula that if the Date cell is 0, then it would show up
as "Missing Info."?
