Default Duplicate files

Hi ,

i have an excel file where more than 10 people will be filling data on real
time basis and there are many duplicate files are getting created
automaticaly and many of the data not saving in the original document. Do we
have any mechanisam to prevent this ?

It is better to enter the data in Access instead of Excel when multiple
people are simulataneously writing to the file. Another choice is to tell
the people When the message file is Opened for Read Only not to enter any
data because it wouldn't be saved.

Hi,

Is this a SHARED workbook? If not, you could put it in share mode. (I
really hate to suggest that because I am not a fan of shared workbooks).

Choose Tools, Share Workbook...

What this does is allow you to tell your uses to just save the file, not
change it's name.
