![]() I am trying to format pivot to better display of an Event Timeline. I have one Pivot by Category, Sub-catetory, etc. and the other Pivot by Date, Tim, Categ, SubCateg. My Event Committee are reading the blank indents as "missing" informatiion. The Design color options do not help. I have also tried the Setting the Field Options for the Columns to indent. eg. Category Sub-catg Date Action Budget Budget 20-Feb Set up budget tracking report Committee Auction Gifts 20-Feb Coordinate sales of ads/gifts 6-Mar Coordinate with Allison CommitteeRoles 6-Mar Pull more volunteers, target Organizer 20-Feb Quick review of Committee Roles Looking to do something like this: Category Date Action Budget Budget 20-Feb Set up budget tracking report Committee Auction Gifts 20-Feb Coordinate sales of ads/gifts Auction Gifts 6-Mar Coordinate with Allison CommitteeRoles 6-Mar Pull more volunteers, target Organizer 20-Feb Quick review of Committee Roles -- Susan |

Hi,
I'm not clear on what your problem is. However, maybe changing the Report Layout will solve your problem. With the pivot table selected choose PivotTable Tools, Design, Report Layout and try all three options. Just a note - you can modify the color style of your pivot table, and you can always apply manual formatting on top of the pivot table style. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button Cheers, Shane Devenshire "Susan" wrote: I am trying to format pivot to better display of an Event Timeline. Click at Pivot Table. Go to last menu on the right side. (I guess, it's
called design), click on layout (left hand side section), click on 3rd button from left (layout) and choose display in compact form.
