I have this formula:
=IF(ISNA(INDEX('[9-20-08 Spreadsheet]sheet1'!$A$3:$A$503,MATCH(0,COUNTIF($A$2:A2,'[9-20-08 Spreadsheet]sheet1'!$A$3:$A$503),0))),"",INDEX('[9-20-08 Spreadsheet]sheet1'!$A$3:$A$503,MATCH(0,COUNTIF($A$2:A2,'[9-20-08 Spreadsheet]sheet1'!$A$3:$A$503),0))) The formula calls on cells A3:A503 in one spreadsheet ([9-20-08 Spreadsheet]sheet1') to get a single occuranec of names and create a list on another spreadsheet in cells A3:A... When the [9-20-08 Spreadsheet]sheet1' file is closed and I open the spreadsheet that has the unique list in it an action box opens and asks if I want to update the formulas, I say no but the names disappear. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance Joe |
