Default posting problem

I have been unable to post to the Excel forum with a question for over a
week. The error says there is a system problem which has been reported. Any
advance on this issue please?

Well if you can read this then clearly your post was sucessful!! and I
answered your question of a few minutes ago in that thread.

With regard to when Microsoft will fix the forum I'm afraid the signs aren't
good. Having displayed no particular talent in the past for running a web
based news forum it's hard to see how things will improve in future.

Avoid the Microsoft web interface to the newsgroup. It is flaky at the best
of times, and currently broken.

Either access the newsgroup
(news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...heet.functions)
directly through a newsreader (such as using OE
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/171190), or use the Google archive
http://groups.google.co.uk/group/mic...eet.functions/
