I am trying to figure payroll in Microsoft Excel. I have the hours figured
accurately. I have the wages entered. But when I try to multiply the two to get a daily (and weekly) gross pay, it gives me a very small number from multiplying the time (hours and minutes) by the serial number rather than the hours and minutes. This gives me a total of roughly $13.00 for 55 hours of work @ $8.00 per hour. This isn't correct, but I cannot figure out how to get it to do the calculations correctly. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you, Walt |
