You need the "Formula Is" part of CF, not "Cell Value Is".
If your selected cell is Z1, use CF/ Formula Is/ =AND(ISTEXT(E1),Z1=2,Z1<4) for your gold. Similarly for your red. Note that you haven't specified what you want if Z = 4 -- David Biddulph "ArcticWolf" wrote in message ...
