Default How do you add or remove gridlines from an individual cell?

Someone has changed a worksheet I created so that not all of the gridlines
appear. I can use the format painter to copy the gridlines from rows that
are ok to the ones that aren't but can't figure out how this person removed
the gridlines from individual cells. They are not borders, they are actual
gridlines.

You can't. But they probably have either added white borders or used a
white fill on those cells, which block the gridlines from showing.

The person could have given the cells a background color of "white" which
will remove the gridlines.

Select them and format to a BG of "No Color" or "Automatic".

Hi,

As mentioned you can't have two types of gridlines in a single sheet, can't
be done.

The most likely way was to make the cell's fill color white as indicated.
If you want to remove all of the fill colors click the top left corner of the
sheet to select the whole sheet, then choose Format, Cells, Patterns, No
Color.

However, there are other obscure ways

For example, yyou can put a rectangle directly over the cell and set its
fill color to None and its border to white.

If this helps, please click the Yes button
