Default selecting values from a list to equal a given value

I have a column of $ amounts(some may be negative) . I have a figure
that one or more of the $ values in the column will equal, but I do
not know which ones they are. Is there a function to do this? I need
to be able to do this in the situation where I have a large number ov
invoices for one customer. The customer then pays a few invoices that
he selects in one lump sum, leaving me to guess which ones they are.
