Unprotecting a work sheet with out knowledge of pass word.
I have inherited a file at work that has a protected work sheet with a pass
word. Employee that set this up has long left the company. Does any one have a suggestion on how to unprotect the work sheet. |

Unprotecting a work sheet with out knowledge of pass word.
Hi,
We are talking worksheet not workbook? 1. Insert a new sheet in the workbook. 2. Select the entire original worksheet and press Ctrl+C 3. Switch back the the new sheet and press Ctrl+V The new sheet will be unprotected. After making sure everything works delete the original sheet. If this helps, please click the Yes button. cheers, Shane Devenshire "William" wrote: I have inherited a file at work that has a protected work sheet with a pass word.
